Hommages

Starting with a captivating portrait, reworked in my own way, and an assemblage of different samples of the characters they played, often taken from film stills or captured on film, I seek to travel into the afterlife with them and into the memories they leave us after their death.
This series begins with the sudden death of Jean-Paul Belmondo in 2021.
This black and white snapshot quickly came to mind. I wanted to turn it into a poetic, mystical and melancholy work. New tributes have followed the death of major artists.
A long list that has only just begun...
